Cancer!

A cancerous cell is a out-of-control cell

Since the medical field confirms that there are over 100 different types of cancer, this summary does not intended to cover them all. This is rather an effort to look at some basic & important areas that impact your health on a cellular level. Why?

A cell is only considered cancerous when it shows an out-of-control growth. The underlying condition though is usually some sort of inflammation. And inflammation is the key to many chronic diseases, from cancer to heart problems, or arthritis.

I am basing some of this research on the work of the late Dr. Patrick Kingsley, a medical doctor from Great Britain.

The 6 Possible Causes of Cancer come to one or several of the following:

1. Microbiome – an overgrowth of unfriendly, bad bacteria or lack of enzymes and too little of good bacteria/enzymes

2. Diet, as nutritional deficiencies or imbalances

3. Infections, especially fungal ones (fungi feed on sugar; cancer also feeds on sugar)

4. Toxic substances, like heavy metals or chemicals

5. Environmental agents, like second-hand smoke, asbestos, and more that damage DNA

6. Long-term stresses of all kinds (including traumatic emotional problems)

1. Microbiome & the Lack of Digestive Enzymes

Our overall gut health or microbiome (intestines & stomach) make up 80% of our immune system! And a healthy immune system can recognize and eliminate cancerous cells which makes this point a very important area to concentrate on! It is our microbiome that keeps us healthy and cancer-free. For details, read more of our Blog Cleanse & Detox, Part I, and Cleanse & Detox, Part II.

Practical Tips & Solutions:

Make sure you cleanse & detox on a regular basis, if not daily, by binding unwanted substances with spirulina or chlorella and flush them out.

Every time you have to take antibiotics, take a round of probiotics for at least one month. If you have a lot of gas & bloating, take L-Glutamine to heal off the lining in your gut (mucosa). If you have taken more than 5 rounds of antibiotics during your life time, take probiotics every day.

Use from time to time different microbiome boosters: digestive enzymes, fermented foods, like sauerkraut, kefir, natural yoghurt (no sugar), or bone broth, organic Psyllium, plus Diatomaceous Earth or bentonite clay.

2. Diet & Nutrition (or the lack thereof)

A diet rich in natural wholesome foods (preferably organic) is considered an anti-inflammatory diet and high in nutrition. A diet rich in processed meals and fast foods, with lots of sweets, candies and sugar (incl. sodas or juices) is considered an inflammatory diet – high in calories, but empty in nutrition.

Practical Tips & Solutions:

Learn to eat lots of vegetables and fruits. Diversity is key for good health! Check our blog here to learn more about the Food Color Wheel.

Learn to eat whole grain foods, e.g. whole grain bread, whole grain rice, whole grain pasta……. and eat none, or a minimum, of processed white rice, flour, pasta, or white bread.

Do not use any hydrogenated or vegetable oils (like canola oil, soy oil, vegetable oil, …..) Choose healthier ones, like coconut oil, cold-pressed olive oil, grape oil or flaxseed oil.

Learn to take 1-2 tsp of turmeric on a daily basis

“Food is not just calories; it is information. It talks to your DNAand tells it what to do. The most powerful tool to change your health, is your fork!”

Dr. Mark Hyman, Medical Doctor

3. Infections: Bacteria, Virus, or parasite

Infections of any kind, like viruses, bacteria, or parasites, will always take down our immune function over time, and a weakened immune system is more vulnerable to cancerous cells.

A common bacteria infection is Candida Albicans, which many people have in lesser or greater quantity in their body. When treated in time Candida gives us only a few symptoms of gas, bloating, or nausea. But if it goes unchecked it can give us brain fog, hormonal imbalance, exhaustion, leaky gut, an impaired immune system, and especially cravings for sweets (Candida feeds on sugar and so does the cancerous cell).

Practical Tips & Solutions:

Use Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth to strengthen your digestive system, eliminating Candida Albicans, while fortifying bones, ligaments, and joints

Do a yearly parasite protocol, e.g. take a 2-week Wormwood Combination to eliminate any possible parasites

Use colloidal silver to clear your system of unwanted virus, bacteria, and parasites

Make a habit to drink fresh cloves tea or fresh ginger tea 2-3 times a week to rid your body of unwanted bacteria

4. Toxic Substances

Heavy metals, like lead, aluminum, iron, or mercury, and other toxins, can wreck havoc on our immune system by weakening it slowly, without clear symptoms, until it is compromised.

Practical Tips & Solutions:

Use cookware that does not leach out any metal; avoid Teflon or non-stick pans that leach out perfluorinated chemicals (PFC’s).

Make sure your lipstick, deodorant, or sunscreen does not contain aluminum.

Avoid eating big fish for a higher exposure to mercury (e.g. tuna, swordfish, king mackerel, or shark); eat fresh local fish or small ones like sardines. For detailed information click here.

Avoid all genetically modified foods, grown with the pesticide/weed killer glyphosate. Glyphosate is a known carcinogen. Consider 1-2x per year a high Folate treatment to clear your body of glyphosate & metals.

5. Environmental Agents

The current list of environmental harmful substances amounts to over 70,000 toxins! No wonder these toxins, chemicals and agents are in every area of our lives.

Practical Tips & Solutions:

Pay close attention to chemical ingredients in your skin & body care. Go completely organic or minimalize toxins & chemicals (words you cannot pronounce or understand) because the skin is our largest organ!

Avoid plastics wherever you can (e.g. food packaging, plastic containers, bottled water), harmful household cleaning supplies, and many more chemicals in carpets, curtaines, mattresses, floor vinyl, etc. Many of them are hormone-mimicking and potential or known carcinogens.

Stop smoking and limit your exposure to second-hand smoking.

6. Long-term Stress (including emotional trauma)

First, stress and emotional trauma can greatly weaken our immune system. In order to overcome it we need to provide high nutritional support for our body. Yet, exactly in times of stress most people don’t eat properly. They choose more fast food, or drink too much coffee or alcohol. This can create an ideal environment for cancerous cells to grow.

Second, stress also causes acidity in the body. Normal cells thrive in a slightly alkaline environment, while cancerous cells thrive in a relatively acid one. Because this is a complex subject, please read more about this mechanism in our first Blog “Alkalinity is Equal to Good Health”.

In conclusion:

If you learn to watch out for the pitfalls and how to counter them in these 6 possible causes of cancer, you can adapt your lifestyle, change some of your eating habits, and therefore get some power over the risk of developing cancer!

In any case, let us know how we can help you to get your power back!
